Safe Outside Activities - Clara
Safe outside activities
It can be hard to find time in your day to go outside but this is essential to ensure a positive attitude. Many people are reluctant to go outside but no matter the weather going outside for at least an hour a day is going to do you much help. There are many different activities that can be done outdoors but are still safe and maintain the distance rules. These can be done in parks in a clear space or as simple as in your garden.
I have gathered multiple activities for different age groups that are perfectly safe and fun.
A big struggle is to continuously come up with fun activities for your kids to do outside so here are some ideas. Doing an obstacle course will keep kids from the age of 7 - 12 entertained and they will need little help. Go to a park or a clear field with little people and bring ropes, hoops, cones, ribbons, scooters, or anything that you can find around your house that could make for an obstacle course. Then create obstacles and time each other and make a competition out of it, but of course keep it friendly :) Another fun activity that can be done safely is a treasure hunt. This does not need to take too long to prepare. Get your child's favorite treat and hide it somewhere and give them clues and tasks as they go. Of course, you can also take this a step further and put actual clues but this would take longer to prepare.
A fun relaxing and stress-relieving activity for a teen or adult is to go on a walk and visit new places. Do things that you never had time to do if it weren't for lockdown, visit your favorite places or parks, go on a walk in a forest and find new places to visit, or go on a bike ride. If you do not have time for this sort of activity go to a nearby park and do some yoga or other sorts of relaxing exercises. Here is a fun yoga routine to do at the park with your kids https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMMRb10LtGM. And something as just listening to music and having a picnic can also be very fun!
That is all for this post, I hope you are inspired to go outside and give yourself some time and relaxation!
Good Luck!
